Looking into counselling can raise some questions, here are common questions and answers to help
Sessions are offered in a face-to-face format. This means we will be in a physical room together (not online).
The room is a confidential space where we will not be interrupted by others. This offers freedom to talk without being conscious of who might hear or how they might judge you. I accept you as you are without the need for you to explain yourself or hide any aspects of who you are.
Every session is as unique as the individual client. Together, we can explore whatever topic is present for you at that time, to help you find your own path forwards.
The fee per session is £40.
Payment by bank transfer is preferred but I am able to accept cash payments.
I understand that sometimes things happen in life so there is no fee if you need to cancel provided you have given more than 24 hours notice.
Standard sessions are 50 minutes and most clients find that this is a comfortable length. If you have a different preference, I am happy to explore options with you.
Most people choose to have sessions either weekly or fortnightly, but I appreciate you might have an irregular pattern due to shift work or other commitments in your life. In our first session together, we can discuss what flexibility you need and how we can work with that.
You can have as many or as few sessions as suit your needs.
My location in High Wycombe is a room in a Counselling Charity building close to the centre of the town. It has easy access for transport links and is a short walk from a car park.
As a mutli-occupancy Charity Building, unfortunately there is no waiting area, but if you are being accompanied there are shops and local facilities near by.
